Mandarin Debating Competiton 2016

This debating competition is held by Nanjing Audit University. Every year,many universities from different countries come to participate in this debating competition,so the designer wants to convey an enthusiastic and logic feeling from the Chinese symbol which means debate.Three basic symbols respectively symbolizing the debate between the proposition, opposition and judge was strictly organized in the box to form a Chinese character.

Every day of the week

7 Drawings, one for every day of the week. The girls are a personification of the day. I made a drawing every day of the week and posted them on my blog/site: stefrymenants.be To create dept and a natural feel to the drawings do I always start with a pencil drawing that I scan and color digitally. Afterwards the drawings are printed.

Matcha Me

Matcha Me's new identity represents its true core; best tasting Matcha powder and a big love for Matcha tea. The new brand design reflects the main element "love for Matcha" at its heart and carries the symbol into the packaging design. The brand has a green colour palette inspired by the original Matcha powder tones and a pattern made out of the brand symbol.

SAHB Poster

In this design, Da Vinci's overlapping images of Vitruvian human figure and Astronaut taking similar poses. Da Vinci is the founder of the art, Vitruvian man figure is an elaborate human sketch by Da Vinci and space flight clothes are indispensable for human beings to operate in space. By skillfully overlapping these images, designer have succeeded in accurately communicating the contents of the exhibition theme "space and art" that they never intersect.

Bird's-eye view of São João da Madeira

This map shows a hybridism of observational drawing and cartographic code. It is inspired by the old Portulan charts, in which the rose of the winds marks the location of the navigator / observer towards the landscape. The observer in the center of the map is framed by a 360 degree panorama of the city landscape, offering a direct relationship between the map and the surrounding landscape, stimulating the sense of place. Reading upside down, breaking the convention of North in the top, allows to better know the world.

Optics and Chromatics

The title Optics and Chromatic refers to the debate between Goethe and Newton on the nature of colors. This debate is represented by the clash of the two letter-form compositions: one is calculated, geometric, with sharp contours, the other relies on the impressionistic play of colorful shadows. In 2014 this design served as the cover for Pantone Plus Series Artist Covers.
