“From scrapbooker to designer” - the article featured in the August issue of Digital Artist Magazine highlights Holly Griego’s journey into digital designing. Holly (Holly Designs) is joining us today for an additional interview and a fun contest! Join us as we learn more about the woman behind the designs!
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I really wanted to be a journalist/photographer for National Geographic. When I was in middle school, I used to read the magazine all the time and think about how amazing it would be to travel and experience so much. Oh, and in college I would joke with my friends about how I would really love to be a professional “Power Point” slide show maker, lol. I love creating power point presentations, haha.
What are you wearing today?
A red button up top with white polka dots, a little white cardigan, some dark jeans and a pair of kitten heels! Yeah, think like 1950’s, hahaha! I’m cool like that 
Do you have any bad or annoying habits?
Me? Never. I’m pretty much perfect LOL! Hmm…let’s see, for a bad habit, I sometimes bite the inside of my cheek. I don’t know why but I have done it since I was young.
Are you a party girl at heart or do you prefer a quiet, relaxed life?
Oh I am so not a party person, lol. I can handle crazy parties and such every now and then, but I much prefer a quite, relaxed life. I’ve always been the quiet pensive one. My brother is the uber social/party dude. And my sister is the “look at me! LOOK AT ME!” athlete, haha!
If you won $1,000,000 what would you REALLY want to do with it?
Take an amazing trip around the world with my best friend! And hey, I could meet some of my wonderful digi friends from around the globe as well!! That would be awesome!
Are you a spender or saver?
Well, I am kind of both, lol. I don’t tend to spend a lot of money on myself. So I am usually saving money. But I have a weakness for buying gifts and/or spending money on my family and friends.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
After reading this question I was mentally running through all the characters in the TV show Heroes and trying to think of the different superpowers options there are, haha! I’m such a dork, lol. Ok, so after thinking about it, I would want to be like Peter (in Heroes), whose superpower lets him “mimic/collect” superpowers from everyone else! Then I would have all sorts of superpowers, hehe!
Who has made the biggest impact on your life so far, and why?
Definitely my parents; I love and admire them both so very much.
Would you rather be: Extraordinarily intelligent, attractive, or average? Please explain why.
Hmm…I guess average, lol. Yeah, who strives to be average, eh? HAHA! But I’m assuming that if I were to choose extraordinarily intelligent, I wouldn’t be very attractive, and likewise. Luckily, this is all hypothetical and I in fact happen to be BOTH extraordinarily intelligent and attractive. LOL!
